Poppy CC visit 8

After one of our meals we went to a small park in the middle of town. These ladies were doing this paddle-ball-toss thing to music, they made it look so easy.
There are various games to play. One was  a huge ring toss, where you toss the ring over the prize you want, it cannot land half way, the lady kept emphasizing. Bella's did a hop and a skip and landed right over a little toy car. She was the only one that won, and we still aren't sure the bounce was legal, but the lady gave it to her anyway.

CC, Bella, and I line up at the back to try some dance moves too.

One day during school pick-up they took Tobin with them to play a little. This little meat stand is right on the road to their school. That white stuff is pork fat hanging by a string.

Bella finishing her lunch meal

On the play ground...

this is a fast slide, he loves it!

we then went out for noodles, at our favorite noodle shop. Poppy and CC have been here before, though it used to be in another location.

Jidan baba, or egg pancake. In Thailand this is called Roti...delicious.

Not many (or any) of these cuddle pics lately...

It looks a little trashed but this is how you are supposed to leave it. We throw our napkins, etc. on the floor, this is standard in noodle joints like this.

These are cute little cars...

Video night with popcorn, so glad Poppy and CC could join!

At school with daddy, pick up time.

the favorite swings.

 water buffaloes out and about...

Poppy and CC bought each kid new shoes, starting with Tobin, who still puts these on as soon as he wakes up every morning. Amazingly, he was a great shoe shopper!

This is the street in front of our complex. So much building is going on in our town and these huge trucks come through this street. They happened to be backed up because of an accident further up the road.

We went on a drive to show Poppy and CC all that has changed in such a short time, we now have a really nice golf course, with some crazy huge houses going up on the hillside.

someone was swimming across the lake when we went by. Hope he is a strong swimmer...
We do live in a beautiful place.

Yes, this is how we roll sometimes, no car seats! This was so we all could fit in the car for our outings. Traffic is crazy but slow-going in the city. We now are utilizing our car seat for the wee little one, the others? usually not...oops.

It is hard to tell where the lanes are and who is going which direction. CC said she now knew another area of prayer in which to pray for our family: safety on the streets!

As mentioned, Tobin enjoyed great outdoor morning time with Poppy and CC...

Can you tell he is carrying someone...Annabelle and Tobin played together well

One of our neighbors and close friends of the girls, LuBingHua, she loves to catch dragonflies.

LuBingHua is six years old, and is teeny! Her mom compares her height with Tobin.

We went to one of our fave restaurants, a Japanese style where they cook it in front of you. This chef knows us and is fabulous.

Tobin and I also took the grandparents to the market ...

Bee larvae...it was expensive
see some of them trying to hatch out...

Chickens...

These shrimp and other sea creatures are obviously not local.
I couldn't believe the stingrays. When asked where all this came from they said Fujian province...way east coast.

Fish guts on the floor. Gross.

This is brown sugar, sold in blocks like this.

If you ever want to know how to score some free fruit. Be a really cute 2 year-old and wear shades.

The guard smiles and waves at the entrance to our complex. She knows us well.

Poppy and CC visit 5

 Who did your hair, Bella?
 Sophia did...

One night we roasted marshmallows, this was another sweet memory-making time...
Tobin was pretty scared of the fire so he stayed away.

But he did enjoy the eats.

Gabrielle, she gave her first smile ever (social smile that is) to Poppy, we were trying to reenact it here.

We had our helper cook one of our favorite meals for Poppy and CC, which includes fish...

And cashew nut chicken and veg...

I made spaghetti sauce for Lasagna that we were having the next day.
The city decided to turn the water off for a full day so we collected some from near the office building until it ran out.

Tummy time on Daddy's tummy.

I think we were looking at Poppy's pics, or finding home videos, I forget.

And still lots of little moments.
