USA Chronicles: Whitefield 3, September

We tried for some cool kids pics one day. That were not great but it was a blast trying. That and I discovered a smudge on the camera lens half way through.

Stick the kids in the field, I say! Amid the tall grass and snakes and deer and bear (we heard it told by the groundskeeper that both deer and bear will swim the lake!). They LOVED this idea of trudging the tall grass.
You can't really see their faces but all are there, maybe even looking at the camera.

I like the silhouette of a child on the shoulders, another's hands in the air.

We went around back to try for more. Everyone in, Tobin and Sammy looking away.

Tobin is moving out of the line..

 Starting slow...

And he's off, we've got a runner folks.

Next, Travis had the kids do push ups, Tobin thinks they are crazy!

Then the kids got in teams and raced to Travis and back through the thick, tall grassy field.

Can you even see Sophia? Sammy is in there two, just too small to spot!

Last morning, sun is getting high and the fog is still lifting off the lake. We will miss this place!

Bella sweeps the front porch...
One more stab at fishing! Yeah, Soph gets her fish. Not bad, girl.

The kids sit around and listen to Uncle Travo tell stories, he is a great story teller.

Aunt Julie fries the fish, like Grandma Pinnie used to do. In China we keep the heads on!

Sweet moments, these girls. Sophia really misses her cousins.

We were so thankful for this time with family. Always priceless.

USA Chronicles: Whitefield, September

It poured down rain one morning but that didn't stop the outdoor play on the porch, and in the rain.

You can't quite tell that they are soaking wet. Tobin was in the mix too.

we went out to the Tastee Freeze for dinner and ice cream one night. Lots of fun with so many chillins!

X-box was on the agenda for the guys every night. This night they let the girls have a go before bed. Bella is trying it out.

One day involved a walk down the drive to the horse field and stalls.

A swing along the way.

I love this picturesque place!

The horses. My camera actually scared one away.

Only Bella and J'Marree were brave enough to actually feed the horses. This really surprised me about Bella, who is usually our anxious worrier.

Tobin had either just eaten chocolate, or he is eating the flowers.

The skies just poured out the sunshine and lit the fields bright green.

The kids chose to sweep the drive....

Dinner outside!

The background looks fake. Its real!

USA Chronicles: Whitefield with the Williams

September 2012
Our getaway with the Williams was incredible as always. We went to a huge house in the middle of nowhere, VA, which caters to people who need rest, etc. We had so much fun exploring, fishing, feeding the horses, letting the kids play, play, play, even in the rain.

Here was target practice. David even let Sophia have a go.

 Sammy, he keeps me smiling!

We said: 'here, Tobin, this is your play pen, have fun' he didn't know what to do with his new found freedom. So fun to watch.

 These two hooligans switched clothes.

These cousins play together really well.

Geared up for fishing...

The house!

These two were hilarious. I caught them whispering talking about something and made them reenact it for the camera.

'okay, start talking again'. I know I ruined the moment. But look at this scenery.

This fish jumped on Anna's line as soon as she dropped it in.

Sophia, on the other hand had to be patient for her fish, it came on day 3 (or 2 I forget!)

She was quite a good sport and loved being out there with the big kids.

Isaiah caught a bundle of fish.

Bella didn't mind handling the worms.

Inside the gorgeous house.

Adult table, plus Tobin.

Tobin found this hat and would not take it off.

Explore, explore.

Bella and Sammy, who are the same age until Sammy turns four Nov 14. These are double doors, literally two layers of glass doors that they squashed themselves between, though you cannot really tell by the picture. Question is, is there air in there?

Tobin and Aunt Julie talk it up.

The lofts were a great area to play in, and sleep!

Tobin took some time to get some work done.
