Day 2, missin' you daddy

4.5.2010

Finally awake before the girls and I have a peaceful start to the day. They wake up around 7:15 and we get in gear for what lies ahead.
I originally was going to let Sophia choose a dress out of three that I offered, but when she said she wanted the Alligator one before I could pull out any choices, I was all in (of course).

Loving her independence in her little pink potty, she went in there by herself and peed...without pulling the dress up far enough. This was half way through the day, good time to change clothes.

I RAN to get the camera to try to get Bella doing a 'pike pushup' or whatever you call it, this didn't capture and the lighting is horrible. Her stunts these days are amazing, but hard to get on film

Sophia did get to play outside a bit today, with the help of Abby too. Here, K and I (the single moms at the moment), ran into all the ex-pat singles in our town and ate dinner together.

I think Bella got stuck in this position because she started to fuss, not realizing she just needed to go to a knee...she will learn.

End of the day (so I think), I shower, listen to language lessons (my class went well today) for 45 minutes and then make myself a treat: indoor smores. yes, I microwaved them. I had leftover digestives from the Lemon Pie I made for ladies night tomorrow, so I indulged. yummy.

In the middle of this post Sophia called to go to the bathroom, then says she doesn't fell well, I think she might really be sick, or just wants to be near me. We have spent awhile in the bathroom, she says she needed to throw up, then not. I can't get a clear answer. When in doubt, cuddle and comfort I suppose. At least with a two year old. So, I have made up the other bed in her room, which is where I will most likely be tonight. She is waiting on me actually, already offered me her moo moo and everything....I really do hope and pray she doesn't get sick.

while you were away

Sophia put her doll in the 'trying to stand' position like Bella, too funny

Sophia got another 'owie' playing soccer with the boys, but she did a great and hilarious job of 'moving to open space' so Mr. Nick could pass her the ball, while all the boys just chased around the ball in a group...you go girl.

I put the girls in the bath together for the first time. They enjoyed it. Except Bella wanted to crawl around...

Girls are in bed, at least for now. My turn for a bath, oh yeah, and listening to some language lessons....

where we found Bella...

While you were away...

This will be a series of posts for David while he is away. This is the first time I will be alone with two for so long. I know it has been done a thousand times over by a thousand different moms, and single moms do this all the time. But my fears/anxieties are just as real.

And actually today, I am not anxious. And maybe I won't be at all this week. Tired, yes, but hopefully I will not let anxiety overwhelm as I sometimes do when I lean on my own arms...and then fall. So, I am learning to lean on HIS everlasting arms.

He left on Easter, and we went to gather with others...He took these first pics and then put us in a taxi. We will see him in 8 days in Bangkok, when I venture there by myself with Sof and Bel. Really this week I have our helper, which is why I chose to stay back a week at home instead of going where I would have no help while David would be in various meetings. This is better, then I will have one very intense day of travel, and then our family will be all together again.

EASTER 2010

Back home right before naps. Girls playing happily....so far so good David. Don't you worry.

Son Shine

It has been a gloomy, droopy, dreary, weary week of rain and clouds and cool.
But today. not today. Resurrection day, spring displayed in sunshine pouring, new life shown in the joy of a gathering, a feast of celebration of the death and the life resurrected. Son SHINE He did. Amen.

bella pulling up

here she is...last week she did this for the first time. She is not close to walking, so unstable, but she can do it, pull up that is! She can tumble pretty well too
