David is gone for a few days for a dental 'emergency,' it is a long story, and he is not in pain, but he had to return to Thailand because the crowns they put in less than a month ago both came out!!! can you believe that? these crowns are on top of implants that he has had for four years now, and we were so psyched about the final restoring of the crowns. until last week. the reason he can't wait is because he teeth could move, it was a highly specific thing they did, and because our dentist consultant said 'go now.' And it was actual perfect timing (traveling without wife and daughter), to run around and jump through all the hoops in order to get his drivers/motorcycle license, the conclusion of which is a very difficult test that no one passes the first time. So today in the capital city he passed it the first time. Miraculous. (though he is the smartest guy I have ever met :).
Our friends here are taking care of us, inviting us for meals, etc. so....so far so good!
we miss you David,
here is what Sophia has done while you have been gone:
- She is repeating more and more words, including 'xie xie' (thank you), jie jie (big sis), moon, thank you, didi (little brother), ready, and of course 'airplane' which you already know. I will have to post the video soon. I love the way she says it so all day I tell her 'daddy is going on an airplane' just so she will repeat it.
- she watched chinese cartoons for the first time, not too long though, just long enough for me to prep some veggies
- she gave Zach, our friends 5 month old lots of good tough lovin' including hitting his head like it was a drum and then trying to squeeze hug him very tight. she did the same thing to Caleb today too (the squeeze hug), she had never done this before.
- and she started getting ergonomic with her sitting, see the pic below. Seriously, she just started sitting on the ball, which was great for her balance, then she would bounce up and down without holding on, crazy girl
