I forgot to mention that the night before Thanksgiving we went on a double date with Julie and Travis. What a blessing that the others were willing to serve us by watching the kiddos, which included feeding and putting to bed. This is always one of the highlights for us, time alone with Julie and Travis, talking about all manner of things. We love them and look up to them so much. We ended up at the duck restaurant and then out for lemon icees, which made us freeze. We had planned on having two double date nights during their stay but in the end we only had time for one, but we started planning vacation together when we go home, yeah!
11.28-30.2009
After the crew went to visit a foster home of AIDS orphans (children whose parents have died of AIDS, they actually are not HIV positive). We all loaded up and headed to a nearby city for a retreat to some hot springs. And they were HOT. But it was a great trip, including more competitions and great fun learning more about each other. We were able to hear from Travis and were deeply convicted and encouraged. The drive is beautiful, but around some mountains, we were so thankful no one got car sick. David did an excellent job driving.
