gingerbread houses with Julie

Julie brought a fabulous kit to make a gingerbread village with Sophia, she loved it and got to try all manner of new candy. come to think of it, she had never had any real candy before. Julie also introduced Sophia to her first taste of gum, that conversation went something like this:
S: 'what is that?'
J: 'it is gum, would you like some?'
S: 'yeah'
Me: 'she has never had gum before.'
J: 'here is a little bit, you just chew it don't swallow'
Travo: 'ah her first try at gum', (and some joke about Julie offering without my permission, we all laugh)
Me: 'sophia, chew it, don't swallow, chew it don't swallow (and on and on)'
J: 'do you like it?'
S: 'yeah'
Me: 'did you swallow it?'
S: 'yeah'
