In the morning I watched the kids while everyone went to another village to visit some friends who are really sick. Abby helped me, of course. She has been a gem. That afternoon the girls went to get our toenails painted, and that night? The motherload of gifts was poured out on us....whoa, what blessings...great books, Sonny's BBQ sauce, really cool games, crafts, kids clothes, great coffee...the best gift? of course, just sitting in our living room with people we love and watching, learning, laughing, reuniting in meaningful ways. My heart already aches when I think on their departure...just trying to treasure each moment.
