These Precious People

Before Uncle Herschel arrived on the scene late December, our dear friends from Singapore came for a week. 

These folks lived here about ten or more years ago and we are so thankful for their friendship. 

They brought their 13-year-old daughter and their visit greatly encouraged us.

They probe our hearts with deep questions, they listen intently and offer sweet and challenging words, always centered on Christ. Theirs is a life of faith rocked with trouble upon trouble (and even wrote a book about it). Yet they don't count our worries or fears as any less than theirs, they genuinely want to know us, and how God is working, and areas where we are weak.

Our kiddos loved playing with Chayil every day.
They brought some fun gifts for all.
 (Amazing pretzel M&Ms, I had never heard of such a thing).

 S and Gab. On Sunday morning we had him share his life story with our kids and they hung on his every word. Very challenging-- his faith forged deep, wrought through much sickness and hardship, and yet his joy and desire for all to know the truth is contagious.
We are always humbled by a visit from this precious fam.
