The Williams family and the Crafts congregated at Poppy and CC's house for a splashing birthday bash for Sophia and Bella, turning 7 and 5 respectively.
This would mean ten out of 12 kids in the pool, and eight adults (though not all in the pool). Seems doable, but we did have one mishap with Tobin, in the pool with no floaties (he can touch in the shallow end, but still). He meandered to the in-between, sliding down the slope to the deep end, he struggled a bit before we noticed. And I freaked out. I didn't outwardly freak out, my legs just didn't stop shaking for a long time from the fears of 'what if' and what a horrible parent I was for not noticing right away. He was fine, didn't even swallow any water. But still.
The party went on and was a true blessing. Afterwards the Williams came back to our house and we ate dinner and watched more world cup action.

Bella became a full-fledged water lover and swimmer this summer. She is swimming like a fish, at the bottom of the pool! Here she jumps off the diving board! So proud of her.
