America 4: More Gatortown

Uncle Herschel also bought a house in the past year (do you hear a trend, so many people we know bought new houses). We were able to stay with him, the kids quickly set up their 'space' in the guest room:

More UF tour, this time to the stadium and O'dome where the basketball team plays

Up close with the fake gator. Gabrielle is in the stroller.

We went inside where they were preparing for summer basketball camps.

Sing me a song, Uncle Herschel!

Herschel lives right near a public pool, so we went there two days. It boasts a nice slide, diving platforms (that were closed), and a low and high diving board.
Gabrielle got in the water, in the shade of the lifeguard tower.

I have no pics of anyone coming off the slide but it was so much fun, high, twisty, and fast if you laid just right. If you were not tall enough you had to pass a swim test to go down it. The lifeguard actually did rescue a kid that came off of it and couldn't swim back to the side.

The pool provided these life vests, because water wings were not allowed.

We were surprised Sophia wanted to go off the diving board. It is a bit bigger than Poppy and CC's.

But we then challenged her to try the high-dive.
And she did. I was shocked. Not too many things scare our first born.
We did eat at Gainesville's own, Burrito Bros., it was as good as we remembered, and Leonardo's pizza, also yum. Uncle Herschel also cooked, something he is really good at. He was an excellent host.

Our time in Gainesville was precious, we were so thankful we could make the trip this time.
